Karen Watkins
Distance
Karen is excited about working with the distance runners for her 4th year. She is an avid runner who has racing experience in the distances 800m up to a marathon.   She is a 2004 graduate of Iowa Sate University where she participated and lettered in both cross country and track & field for the Cyclones.  Karen also assisted with the Brocaw Blazers AAU youth cross-country program in the fall.  Originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karen has moved to Kansas for her job as a Software Engineer at Garmin.  Karen lives in Overland Park with her husband Jon.

Chris Allison
Sprints
This will be Chris's first year coaching with the JoCo Track Club and is very excited for this opportunity.  Chris is a former sprinter for the Flying Frogs of Texas Christian University where he was a 3 time All American.  He currently maintains his athletic activities by working out daily and participating in Corporate Challenge for Sprint Nextel.  Chris has been employed at Sprint/Nextel for the past 8 years and is currently a Business Analyst.  Chris's athletic accomplishments involve; World Junior Olympian, 3 time All American, winning the 100 meter in 2002 Corporate Challenge, as well as a 2nd and 3rd in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

Trevor Chipman
SprintS/Hurdles
This is Trevor’s 3rd season with the Comets club (he is also an asst. coach for the Brocaw Blazers XC team).  His coaching specialties include hurdles, relays, and long sprints, but he has a passion for all events within the sport of Track & Field.  Trevor was a 2-time All-State performer and 4 year letterman in high school T&F.  He twice medaled in the 300m hurdles at the KS 6A State Championships, running for the Dodge City Red Demons.  He chose not to pursue college track and instead accepted a merit/leadership scholarship at KU, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business.  Trevor has remained an avid runner and fan of the sport ever since running AAU track as a kid in Western KS.  He currently works as a financial analyst at the Sprint campus and runs in the KC Corporate Challenge for the 2-time defending champion Sprint-Nextel team.

Olivia Louderback
Sprints
This year Olivia will be working with the sprinters, assisting in coaching the 100m, and 200m races.  This is her 3rd year coaching with the Comets and she is very excited to be working with the kids again.  She was also an assistant coach for the Brocaw Blazers cross country team in the fall  Olivia graduated from Kansas State University where she played intramurals with her sorority in flag football, basketball and track.  After living in the Caribbean for 5 years, she settled in Wichita, KS.  There she attended Andover schools and ran track, cross country and played basketball.  Olivia is an Industrial Engineer for Yellow Transportation and lives in Kansas City.

Rob Koch
Distance
Rob is in his first year with the club, after having lived recently in SC and WI. Rob is a USATF Level One licensed track coach (as well as US Soccer Federation National C license and NSCAA National Youth Diploma for soccer), and has coached middle distance and distance over the years in the US Army, high school, and club, and conducted speed and agility training as a soccer club director in WI and SC. As an athlete, Rob was a Maryland high school state champion in track and soccer, played Division I soccer at the University of Maryland, and has competed in marathons, half marathons, 10Ks, triathlons, and an Ironman over the years. As a coach, Rob has qualified middle and distance runners for national Jr. Olympics Track and XC meets, coached 2 national tournament qualifiers in youth soccer, and won a national championship with the 2002 USL Champion and Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Quarterfinalist Milwaukee Rampage professional soccer team. Rob is also an attorney with a title insurance company.
